Since our founding in 1869, Bright Promises has been unfailing in our effort to create opportunities for children. For 147 years, we have taken bold, informed risks to equip the experts that are on the front lines every day helping our city’s most vulnerable children. Today, we continue to invest in cutting-edge programs that generate real and lasting results in children's lives. 

In 2016, Bright Promises has undertaken groundbreaking work addressing the impact of trauma and violence on the health and development of children, access to quality early childhood education, college readiness, and most recently, the need for children to learn social and emotional life skills.  We are dedicating our resources to truly moving the needle on these issues.

Now more than ever, we need this kind of collaborative, compassionate approach that is based in innovation.
