Save the Date: 2016 Fall Awards on October 25 at the University Club of Chicago

During this complimentary event we will honor and celebrate three luminary individuals whose work with Illinois children deserves special recognition: Gigi Pritzker, Ron Manderschied and Maria Muñoz. We will also introduce our newest funding initiative and announce our 2016-2017 grantees.

In three short years, Bright Promises will celebrate our 150th anniversary. The 2016 Fall Awards marks the beginning of our Countdown to 150 celebration. In honor of this occasion, for the first time Bright Promises will present the Champion for Children Award to filmmaker and lifelong philanthropist Gigi Pritzker.

Gigi Pritzker is an accomplished film and stage producer, businesswoman, and an active philanthropist and advocate for children. Ms. Pritzker is a founder of the Pritzker Early Childhood Foundation, has served on the Board of the Chicago Children’s Museum for 15 years and serves as the President of Pritzker Pucker Family Foundation. Ms. Pritzker is a Chicago native and the proud mother of three children.

We will also present the Lifetime Achievement Award to Ron Manderschied, President of the Northwestern University Settlement Association for more than 35 years and the Ed Marciniack Bright Star Award to mid-career professional Maria Muñoz, the Academic Programs Coordinator at Erie Neighborhood House.

This event is free of charge. Pre-registration is required.
