Guthman Fund increases EQUIP support by 40%

We are thrilled to announce that this year, the Leo S. Guthman Fund has nearly doubled their support of Bright Promises Foundation's EQUIP grant program, increasing their support by 40%.

The Leo S. Guthman Fund has been a longtime supporter of the EQUIP program and we are grateful to continue to grow our partnership. These additional funds will allow Bright Promises to increase the impact of the EQUIP program to potentially serve more than 1,500 disadvantaged children throughout Cook County.

The EQUIP program provides multi-year, capacity-building support to early childhood education agencies, helping them to work with the staff and families to create long-lasting quality improvements that will directly benefit low-income children ages birth to five. EQUIP was initiated in 2004 and has historically been administered by the Bright Promises Foundation with support from the Leo S. Guthman Fund, Prince Charitable Trusts, Pritzker Early Childhood Foundation and an anonymous foundation. Now in it's 12th year of grantmaking, the EQUIP program has supported more than 75 early childhood education agencies and serves over 1,000 children annually.
